OVERVIEW:
Michi, www.michiny.com, a fashion forward performance active lifestyle brand, is currently seeking a Fashion or Comic Book Illustrator with superb fashion or comic illustration ability for Freelance work. This role can be remote so the candidate can be located anywhere in the world.
JOB SUMMARY: To create fashion and/or comic illustrations to communicate the Michi brand story and collections. This is a freelance position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create Fashion or Comic Illustrations of the latest Michi collections to tell the brand story and the story of the latest collections
- Bring the vision of the Creative Director to life through the illustrations which can be created by hand or with Photoshop or Illustrator
- Produce drawings and layouts that will be used for the website, look books, branding materials and social media
- Communicate story ideas through sketches, layouts, drafts and drawings
- Select the appropriate colors, mood and mediums that will go well with the existing fashion concept
- Maintain open communication with the Creative Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Superb fashion or comic illustration ability
- A design diploma unless your illustrations speak for themselves
- A demonstrated ability to communicate concepts visually
- Deep empathy, including listening skills and patience
- Creativity and vision
