5 Minute Breathing Exercise with MICHI
We will be guiding you a mediation practice you can use anywhere, anytime without any experience in mediation.
When we think of meditation we think of monks sitting in silence for days and that feels rather unachievable and quite hard.
The truth is meditation takes many forms and it can be done anywhere by anyone for any amount of time, to render great benefits.
We need 4 key ingredients:
- 3-5 minutes
- A quiet place
- Stillness of body
- Attention to here and now
In this meditation we will balance the entire nervous system and connect back to harmony (via breath and the vagus nerve ).
The vagus nerve is pretty important for even just a quick meditation. It starts in the brain stem and heads down the body though a sheath, and branches out across the torso, influencing the function of different organs. This nerve is responsible for calming and balancing our nervous system, as well as regulating critical body functions, among them: heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, perspiration and speaking.
In our busy, fast paced life, this 3-5 min practice guarantees a kind body reset that leaves you feeling calm, grounded and clear. Let’s do it together.
